Cyrille, 34, joined GFI in February 1997, Project Manager

"Since I joined GFI in February 1997, my profile as a design engineer for major systems has evolved constantly. I have used my information technology skills in the major projects that marked the beginning of the new millennium: Y2K and the introduction of the euro.
From expert to consultant, I finally progressed to Project Manager in charge of a dozen people in the context of a flagship project for a leading energy utility (EDF).
My present position allows me to reconcile human relations and project management while keeping up and even enhancing my technical skills in various environments."

 

Céline, 24, one year working with GFI as a Design Engineer

"I joined GFI a year ago just after qualifying as an engineer in Modelling and Mathematics. I had completed my year-end internship in descriptive data analysis with France Télécom R&D.
This was not the typical background for joining an IT service firm as a Designer in Java/J2EE. however, after an excellent initial contact with GFI's Telecom/Media division, I decided to join the group. GFI offered me the opportunity to train in Java/J2EE technology and to use these skills subsequently on an interesting project.
Moreover, I work with a small, friendly team which makes for pleasant and motivating work. It has therefore been an excellent first job experience for me."

 

Wojciech, 27, joined in March 2004 - J2EE Design Engineer

"As a recent graduate of Ecole Polytechnique Universitaire de Nice (formerly ESSI), I benefited from a one-month training course in J2EE as soon as I joined GFI Informatique.
After a first assignment working on an integration project at DHL (J2EE, XML/XSL), I was involved in a J2EE third-party applications maintenance project for the Defence Ministry. This is a totally different functional and technical environment and I find the wide variety of activities and businesses within GFI particularly motivating."

"I joined GFI in March 2006 with the aim of validating my experience as Project Manager and taking on new responsibilities.
I jumped at the opportunity to manage a team of ten at one of the group's major customers. The general project management team was constantly at my side to help me meet this challenge and I received genuine support from the GFI staff already in place.
I consider it a key point that GFI bases career plans on the wishes of the person concerned, helping people to develop their skills in a given area."

"What attracted me to the Adélior-GFI group was the quality of the contacts I had had (human resources, sales staff, office manager). Everything was natural, without any pretension, which is rare.
After more than 15 years' experience, mainly with IT service companies, I always take a very objective approach to any new employer. The group has very significant potential in terms of skills and career development. The atmosphere is friendly, professional and outward-looking. The assignments are interesting and very well adapted to the employee's profile.
My work mainly concerns the Banking sector in the area of production (Dealing Desk, Securities services, etc.). A recent graduate from IUP MIAGE in Nantes , I had indicated that I wished to move from J2EE analysis and development to a management position. Far from being a one sided approach, my wish for professional advancement was encouraged by my supervisors and managers. Constantly supported and advised, through assignments and training, I was able to build experience and confidence. A rapid progress that enables me to hold my present position as junior project manager."

"I started working with GFI five years ago as an intern. After working as a developer on various projects, I am now a technical architect - CP Java-J2EE. Over these past years, I have worked in third-party maintenance at the agency and in onsite Technical Assistance for major customers such as France Télécom. The Group's national dimension and the diversity of the projects have enabled me to evolve within my agency. At the same time, GFI has managed to conserve a reassuring, family atmosphere that encourages advancement."

"After four years working in software development, I joined GFI Informatique as part of the third-party acceptance service provided to SFR. The technical and commercial skills acquired in this environment enabled me to progress after a year to a position of project manager in charge of ten or so engineers. The diversity of the systems managed by GFI in the context of this contract, the size of the project and the responsiveness required by the customer are all motivating factors."

"I joined ITREC Gestion in 1990 as a designer on AGL MEGA. My various assignments have enabled me to move to a post of delegated project supervision. Currently assigned to France Télécom with an 8-person flat-fee service contract, we are building the upgrades for the FT system for the sale, technical delivery and invoicing of its new sales offerings. One of the most attractive features of this assignment is that it covers the entire life-cycle of a project."

 

Sophie, 42, Senior Project Manager - since May 2001

"I joined GFI Toulouse in May 2001. I was recruited as a senior project manager and in this capacity I supervised a number of projects for major customers and SMEs. Since then, I have been able to take on new responsibilities such as supervising sub-contractors, relations with suppliers and pre-sales.
It was in this capacity that I managed to obtain a contract for creating an outsourcing platform dedicated to onboard aircraft systems. I am also currently in charge of supervising this platform.
A strong relationship with the GFI teams has always been a key priority. This provides the basis for progress and for building and putting in place new activities."

"I'm 24 and joined GFI Informatique nine months ago as a scientific design engineer. As part of the CNES team, I work on the processing of satellite data.
The good relations within the team make for a friendly working atmosphere, which means a lot to me."

 

Alain, 38, Project Manager - since 2001

"I'm 38 and I've been with the GFI Informatique group for five years. I joined as a designer working on "web" technology for customers such as CLS, CNRS and Airbus. After two years, I moved on to a position as Project Manager on an applications maintenance flat-fee service contract for Airbus. With a background in team sports, I particularly enjoy the variety of assignments I am offered and the good atmoshere in my team."

 

Jean-Luc, 37, Project Manager - since March 2001

"After various experiences combining both Design and Production skills, I worked on very varied assignments that enabled me to learn all aspects of a project, from design-implementation to production.
After handling these assignments successfully, I was given the opportunity to move toward new technologies while gradually taking on new responsibilities.
At the end of 2005, I was involved in setting up the Java J2EE-Arcelor Development Centre. I was initially appointed technical project manager.
Soon after, with the support of the Project Management Department, I was given responsibility for the smooth operation of projects at this centre. I am also involved in a variety of pre-sales activities.
I particularly like the working environment: a close-knit team, constant dialogue and enhancement through ongoing transfer of skills."

"I'm 24 and joined GFI in March 2005. I started out working in CTI (Computer-Telephony Integration) environments. I was in charge of the call centre's user helpdesk. As opportunities arose, I became proficient in integrating Genesys and "relational" solutions in services management. I am currently project leader for a third-party applications maintenance service that also maintains Genesys solutions adapted for call centres."

"An engineering graduate from ENSI in Caen , I have been with GFI for two years now. After two assignments lasting several months as a J2EE developer for major customers, I was given the opportunity to manage a J2EE application outsourcing project. Not the kind of offer one can turn down! Now 26 and after a year working on this outsourcing project, I have decided to leave J2EE and move on to telecommunications. My team and I provide third-party maintenance for a call-centre application, a state-of-the-art project that is central to the customer's day to day business issues."

"I'm 31 and joined GFI Informatique 18 months ago, in the context of the integration of Simabay. Initially, project manager for a flat-fee development project on electronic payment terminals (EPT), the diversity of GFI's customer base has enabled me over the past six months to move on to client-side project supervision. My new task has also allowed me to round off my skills in credit card payment systems by learning about authorisation servers."

"I have been with GFI Consulting for six years, carrying out various marketing assignments on issues of strategic importance for our customers. This has enabled me to develop my knowhow and take on new responsibilities."

"I have a degree in genetics and worked for three years in card payment systems before.
As soon as I arrived at MMP, I integrated the acceptance team on the Caisse d'Epargne authorisation server. As I wished to broaden my functional knowhow, I was offered a design assignment in the area of the Caisses d'Epargne's Transaction Flows where I draft functional specifications and coordinate certain projects."

 

Sébastien, 32, seven years with GFI, Senior Project Manager

"I joined GFI's Administration division after graduating from engineering school (3iL). Assigned to sensitive projects in a variety of environments, I rapidly acquired skills in a large number of technical and functional areas. I then joined the GFI Administration skill centre where I gradually moved up to become the manager. As supervisor of fee-based contracts with tight work schedules and long-term applications maintenance contracts in public markets, I have gained a good grounding in every type of service from the pre-sale phase to the reversibility phases.
Currently, my time is split between project management and technical supervision within the Administration division."

 

Tony, 32, six years with the group, Operating manager

"With Euvoxa since 2002, after graduating in computer sciences, several work experiences and an experience as systems administrator (NT-Unix), I began as Operating Analyst at Société Générale (Paris) and I have now been in charge of the operating team for two and a half years. Team work and constant technological change are the two characteristics that I most enjoy."
